§ 2.18. Acting City Prosecutor.
(1)
The Police Legal Advisor, and any Assistant City Attorney designated by the City Attorney, is hereby authorized and empowered to act in the capacity of an Acting City Prosecutor in the absence or unavailability of the City Prosecutor and may perform such duties as are set forth in Section 2.17 above.
(2)
An intern certified by the Supreme Court of Florida under the Rules Regulating the Florida Bar may represent the City in the prosecution of violations of the City Code and appeals taken therefrom, with the express written approval of the City Attorney and under the supervision of the City Prosecutor. Nothing in this section shall supersede the rules governing certified legal interns as set forth by the Supreme Court of Florida.
