§ 2.19. Office Created; Duties.

    There is hereby created the office of Chief Administrative Officer of the City. The Chief Administrative Officer shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. The Chief Administrative Officer shall report to the Mayor and serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and City Council. The duties of the Chief Administrative Officer shall include the general supervision and direction of the operation and administration of all departments, offices and bureaus of the City, with the exception of the Office of the Mayor, subject always to the approval of the Mayor as Chief Executive Officer of the City pursuant to Section 3 of Chapter 2 of the Charter of the City of Orlando.

    (2)

    One or more Deputy Chief Administrative Officers and/or one or more Assistant Chief Administrative Officers may be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the City Council. Such appointed officers shall report to the Chief Administrative Officer and shall perform such duties as may be directed by the Mayor or the Chief Administrative Officer.
