§ 2.35. In General.

  • (1)

    In addition to the officials named in Articles II, III, IV, V and VI, of this Chapter, the Mayor may appoint, subject to confirmation by City Council, such other officials to head such offices and departments as may from time to time be created by the City Council with such duties, responsibilities and authority as may be specified by the City Council and set forth in the City's Policy and Procedure Manual.

    (2)

    As of October 1, 2008, the government of the City of Orlando shall contain the following offices and departments:

    Office of the Mayor

    Office of the City Commissioners

    Office of the Chief Administrative Officer

    Office of Business and Financial Services (also referred to in this Code as the "Finance Department")

    City Attorney's Office (also referred to in this Code as the "Office of Legal Affairs")

    Office of the City Clerk

    Office of Audit Services and Management Support

    Office of Communications

    Office of Human Relations

    Office of Neighborhood and Community Affairs

    Economic Development Department

    Families, Parks and Recreation Department

    Fire Department

    Housing and Community Development Department (also referred to in this Code as the "Housing" Department)

    Orlando Venues Department (also referred to in this Code as the "Centroplex" Department)

    Police Department

    Public Works Department

    Transportation Department
