§ 2.68. Appropriations for Charitable and Community Sponsored Organizations.

  • The City Council, upon a proper investigation and a determination that the appropriation request meets the best interests of the City of Orlando and would not violate any local, state or federal law or state or federal constitutional provision, may appropriate funds to a non-profit charitable and community-sponsored organization granted tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service.

    The City Council may adopt a policy that establishes financial reporting requirements for any such non-profit charitable and community sponsored organization that requests and receives grant funds from the City. No disbursement of grant funds shall be made until any such financial reporting requirements are satisfied.
