§ 2.90. Agreements with State Agency; Employee Referendum.

  • The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all necessary agreements and amendments thereto with the state agency, and to request the Governor to authorize an employee referendum, for the purpose of extending the benefits provided by such system of old age and survivors' insurance to the employees and officials of the City designated in Section 2.88 and 2.89 of this Code, which agreement shall provide for such methods of administration of the plan by the City as are found by the state agency to be necessary and proper, and, subject to employee referendum, shall be effective with respect to services in employment covered by such agreement performed on and after the first day of January, 1958.
