§ 2.176. Purpose.

Latest version.
  • The purpose of this Article is to set forth a uniform procedure for appeal to City Council of any decision or recommendation made by a City board where such appeal is permitted under this Code. The appeal procedures as described herein shall apply notwithstanding appeal procedures as may be described elsewhere in the Code of the City of Orlando; however, this Article shall not prevail over appeal procedures as may be prescribed in the Charter of the City of Orlando or in Special Acts of the Legislature pertaining to the City of Orlando. It is the intent of the City Council that a citizen's administrative remedies shall be exhausted when City Council has taken final action on a matter, either by way of formal acceptance of a recommendation from a City board or upon final determination of an appeal taken from a City board recommendation or decision.
