§ 39.37. Hours and Days of Operation.

Parking meters as required by this division shall be in operation as follows:

(1)

On-Street Parking. From 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., daily, except Sundays and City holidays as designated in subsection (4) of this Section.

(2)

Off-Street Parking. In municipal parking facilities from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., daily, except Sundays and City holidays designated in subsection (3) of this Section; and except as set forth in subsection (5) for Orlando Centroplex facilities; provided, however, that certain such off-street parking areas shall be in operation twenty-four (24) hours daily, including Sundays and City holidays designated in subsection (3) of this Section; and provided further, that the hours of operation in such twenty-four (24) hour off-street parking facilities shall be plainly marked and posted on the parking meters or on signs conspicuously placed in such facilities or both.

The following days are hereby designated as City holidays on which parking meters in on-street and off-street metered parking facilities are not in operation.

(a)

New Years Day—January 1;

(b)

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day—the third Monday in January;

(c)

Memorial Day—the last Monday in May;

(d)

Independence Day—July 4;

(e)

Labor Day—the first Monday in September;

(f)

Thanksgiving Day—the fourth Thursday in November;

(g)

Christmas Day—December 25.

Parking at Centroplex Parking Facilities. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, hours and days of operation of parking meters, or the charging of parking fees for parking facilities under the control of, or used in conjunction with facilities under the control of, the Orlando Centroplex Bureau shall be established by the Director of the Orlando Centroplex. When so established, such hours and days of operation shall be plainly marked and posted at such parking facilities.
