§ 39.59. Rates.

(1)

The rates to be charged and paid for the use of the off-street parking facilities shall be determined and set by the Parking Bureau Chief subject to the approval of City Council, except as otherwise provided herein. The rates to be charged and paid for the use of the off-street parking facilities under the control of the Orlando Centroplex Bureau shall be determined and set by the Director of the Orlando Centroplex, subject to the approval of the City Council.

(2)

The Director of the Orlando Centroplex shall have the authority to waive or modify the rates established pursuant to subsection (1) if such is deemed to be in the best interests of the City and after due consideration of the following:

(a)

Nature of a specific event;

(b)

Expected/anticipated attendance at the event;

(c)

Time and duration of the event;

(d)

Necessity for the orderly flow of pedestrian and/or vehicular traffic in and around the Centroplex site;

(e)

Necessity for parking in order to facilitate the efficient staging of events at Centroplex facilities;

(f)

Cost effectiveness of maintaining attended parking for an event;

(g)

Support of the marketing efforts for Centroplex facilities;

(h)

Direct participation by the City in the event under consideration.
