§ 58.940. Requirements for Particular Home Occupations.
(A)
Secondary Home Offices. No retail or wholesale transactions shall be made on the premises. No religious services shall be conducted on the premises of a home office of a minister, rabbi, priest etc.
(B)
Taxi or Limousine Service. A taxi or limousine service is a permitted home occupation, subject to the requirements of this Part, including these additional conditions:
(1)
No more than one (1) taxi or limousine service shall be located at any principal residential dwelling unit. A taxi or limousine service shall have no more than two (2) vehicles for hire (limited to passenger vans, sedans, or limousines not exceeding 20 feet in length) per residential home occupation site.
(2)
The vehicles for hire shall be parked in legal parking spaces not located within the right-of-way, on or over a sidewalk, or on an unimproved surface, and at least one (1) of the vehicles shall be parked inside an enclosed garage.
(3)
A vehicle for hire with any commercial markings (excluding company trade name displayed on the front license plate, vehicle number in figures two (2) to three (3) inches in height on the bumpers, and window permit decals issued by a government agency) shall only be permitted at a residential home occupation site if it is parked in an enclosed garage.
(4)
Employees and customers of the home-based taxi or limousine service, excluding the homeowner, shall not be permitted at the home occupation site for the purpose of operating or assisting in the operation of the business.
(5)
Repair of a vehicle for hire shall not be permitted at the home occupation site, except for changing a flat tire or charging a battery.
(6)
A survey of the home occupation site shall be submitted with the application for the occupational license demonstrating that the proposed location has sufficient legal on-site parking spaces located behind the front yard setback to accommodate the vehicle(s) for hire.
