§ 61.200. Relationship to the Growth Management Plan.

The Street and Right-of-way requirements of the following Parts implement the Growth
Management Plan Transportation Policy Statements #10 and #15 and their Required Actions
#2, #3 and #4, to develop and refine Orlando's Major Thoroughfare Plan and plans for
classifications of streets, based on the Development Framework Program, through a
land use monitoring and projection system, technical and policy input into regional
planning programs and micro area analysis of the City's planning areas; Transportation
Policy Statement #33 and its Require Action #1, to reinforce or introduce land use/transportation
relationships as a means of accommodating or directing travel characteristics, in
part through the use of a micro area transportation/land use relationship evaluation
tool; and Recreation and Open Space Policy Statement #1 and its Required Actions #5
and #6, to seek development of Orlando's pedestrian and bikeway system in part through
flexibility in its development review procedures to allow for the most suitable contribution
from private developers.
