§ 61.333. Number of Spaces Required.

  • The minimum number of bicycle parking spaces required is shown in Figure 28. When the calculation of the number of required bicycle parking spaces results in a fractional number of spaces, any fraction up to and including 0.5 shall be disregarded and any fraction over 0.5 shall require one bicycle parking space. For any use not listed in Figure 28, bicycle parking spaces may be substituted for vehicle parking spaces at a rate of 8 bicycle parking spaces per vehicle parking space. The maximum substitution shall be 5% of the vehicle parking spaces required under this Part or 10 spaces, whichever is greater.

    The following uses shall be required to provide bicycle parking spaces in the amounts listed:

    Notes:

    1.

    A reduction in the minimum number of required bicycle parking spaces may be approved for any office use that institutes and maintains a bicycle parking plan, approved by the City. Such a reduction shall not exceed 40% of the required number of spaces, and may be terminated immediately upon failure of the owner, operator, tenant, or others responsible for such programs to maintain such programs in an ongoing and acceptable manner.
