§ 62.304. Applications Review by Appearance Review Official.

Building Permits. Any development application within the MXD-1 district which is shown in Chapter 58, Figure 2 as PA (Permitted Use, but appearance review is required) requiring a building permit and involving an exterior alteration visible from the public right-of-way shall be referred to the Appearance Review Official. Based on the application and the standards of this district, the Appearance Review Official shall approve, approve with conditions, or deny the application, stating in writing the reason for any denial.

Other Applications Review. Upon acceptance by the Planning and Development Department of any application within the MXD-1 district which requires review by the Technical Review Committee, Municipal Planning Board, or Board of Zoning Adjustment, the application shall be forwarded to the Appearance Review Official. Based on the application and the standards of this district, the Appearance Review Official shall prepare recommendations for the consideration of the applicable reviewing authority.
