APPEARANCE REVIEW REQUIREMENTS FOR OFFICE USES IN RESIDENTIAL AND O-1 OFFICE DISTRICTS |
§ 62.601. Purpose Statement.
The purpose of these requirements is to establish design standards so that new construction and additions to buildings within low intensity office districts in the Traditional City shall be compatible with their surroundings. A compatible structure is one that possesses patterns of proportion, scale, mass, form and materials that are found in surrounding buildings. Compatible structures are balanced and in accord with one another and their surroundings. The orientation and detailing of compatible structures result in a consistent relationship of the built form to the street and to the human scale. Compatible structures are built of materials that are harmonious in texture and form.
