DESIGN STANDARDS IN ACTIVITY CENTER DISTRICTS OUTSIDE THE TRADITIONAL CITY |
§ 62.630. Purpose of Design Standards.
Future Activity Centers outside the Traditional City have the option of incorporating the positive design elements of the Traditional City into new development. The resulting urban form will be compact and pedestrian in scale and character. This form is achieved with the construction of compact buildings of similar mass and scale, the development of a streetwall, parking in the rear of buildings, pedestrian related design features and the orientation of buildings to the street.
These standards are optional for Activity Centers outside the Traditional City. The design standards in Sections 62.619—62.627 which apply to Traditional City Activity Centers may be applied through the Master Plan process. The following standards shall also apply.
