§ 64.249. Menu Boards Permitted in Downtown Area.
To encourage pedestrian activity and further the pedestrian orientation of the Downtown area, menu boards shall be permitted in AC-3A, AC-2, and P zoning districts within the DDB District. One menu board shall be allowed per street address as shown on the Zoning Plat Sheets. Menu boards shall not exceed nine (9) square feet in size and shall be positioned so as to be adjacent to that restaurant or business listed on the board and information on that board shall advertise exclusively the goods and services of that business and be placed in a manner which is clearly visible to pedestrian traffic. Said menu boards shall not be placed in the City right-of-way without permission from the City Engineer. All signs shall be removed at the end of each business day. All signs shall be securely anchored to the ground.
