§ 65.367. Restrictions or Prohibitions on Zoning Map Amendments in Certain Districts.

  • R-2A, R-2B Residential Districts. Establishment of new districts allowed only by group petition or Municipal Planning Board or City Council initiation. See Chapter 58, Part 2D.

    AC-1, AC-2, AC-3, AC-N Activity Core Districts. Special rezone standards and submittal requirements. See Chapter 58, Part 2O.

    AN—Airport Noise Overlay; RP Resource Protection Overlay District; C Conservation District. Rezones to these districts allowed only by Municipal Planning Board or City Council initiation. See Chapter 58, Part 2S.

    I-P, I-G and I-C Industrial Districts. Special locational standards for rezones. See Chapter 58, Parts 2J—2K, and 2AG.

    P Public Use District. Rezones to this district restricted to publicly-owned properties. See Chapter 58, Part 2M.

    AC-3A Downtown Metropolitan Activity Core District. No new district may be established, and special restrictions on the expansion of existing districts. See Chapter 58, Part 2P.

    HP Historic Preservation Overlay District; PD Planned Development District. Special rezone standards and review procedures apply. See Chapter 58, Parts 2V and 2Q.

    UR—Urban Reserve District. Rezones from the Urban Reserve district must be preceded by, or concurrent with, a Growth Management Plan amendment, including a determination by the Municipal Planning Board and City Council that adequate infrastructure exists to serve the site and market conditions clearly indicate the need for additional urban land. See Chapter 58, Part 2Z.
