§ 65.478. Listing Potential Landmarks.

  • A list of potential "Orlando Landmarks" is hereby created as a means of identifying structures, buildings, sites, places, objects, memorials and areas having a special historical, architectural, archeological or environmental significance within the City of Orlando. The list shall include name, location and significance of each potential "Orlando Landmark." The list shall be established and maintained by the Historic Preservation Board. Additions to the list may be made only after a "Local Historic Landmark Application" is completed by the Historic Preservation Board, a member of City Council, owner of the proposed landmark or an authorized agent, a government agency, any organization with a recognized interest in the property and a recognized interest in historic preservation, or by any person filed with the Historic Preservation Officer or his designee.

    The Criteria used to identify potential "Orlando Landmarks" shall be the same as set forth in Chapter 62, Part 2, Section 62.202, "Review Procedure."
