§ 65.506. General Requirements.

  • Along with the abandonment application, the applicant shall submit the following:

    A Recent Boundary Survey: A recent boundary survey that accurately delineates and describes the area proposed for abandonment. A metes and bounds legal description signed and sealed by a Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper of the area to be abandoned shall be required.

    Site Plan: If the abandonment is requested in connection with a proposed project, a site plan of development shall be submitted. Where facilities are to be relocated, a site plan shall be provided showing the relocation of the facilities.

    Consent to Agents: The application shall be signed by all owners, mortgagees, and contract purchasers of the property or documentation shall be submitted signifying the owner's approval of consent or an affidavit.

    Statement of Impact: The application shall include a statement by the applicant of the impact of the proposed abandonment, if any, on adjacent and abutting property owners.

    Reasons for Request: A statement for the reasons of requesting the abandonment.
