§ 65.562. Construction and Inspection of Improvements.

  • (A)

    Inspections. The City Engineer shall carry out inspections and tests of all required improvements during construction and following the completion of each stage of construction, in accordance with established Departmental Policies, to ensure compliance with the approved plat or plan. If deemed necessary, sidewalk and other paved surfaces shall be cut through or cored to determine compliance with specifications. All required improvements shall be installed, inspected and approved by the City Engineer prior to acceptance by the City.

    (B)

    Inspection Fees. The developer/builder shall pay to the City, for engineering and inspection services provided by the City, a sum equal to the following percentage of the actual construction costs:

    FOR ON-SITE INSPECTION 2.25%
    For checking and approval of plans 0.50%
    For testing and laboratory services 1.25%
    TOTAL 4.00%

     

    One-half of the fee shall be due prior to approval of the final plat or Permitting Site Plan, and the remainder upon completion of construction and prior to final acceptance of improvements by the City.
