§ 20. Reexamination and Recall of Retired Employees.

  • Any member of the said fire department who shall have retired on pension due to permanent disability, who has less than twenty-five (25) years of service in said department, shall be subject to the call of the said Orlando Firefighters Pension Board for reexamination, and if found able to perform active duty, the said board shall have the power to, with the consent of the chief of the said fire department and city commissioners of the said city, compel the return of said member to the said department and said member so returned shall enjoy the same rights that he had at the time he was placed upon pension, and in the event said member so ordered to return shall refuse to comply with said order within ten (10) days from the issuance thereof, he shall forfeit his right to his pension.
