§ 15. Proceedings for Forfeiture.

  • Should any automobile, truck, motorcycle or other motor vehicle taken up and seized by the police of said City of Orlando under the provisions of this Act, or any ordinance passed in pursuance thereto, after advertisement as herein provided, then the chief of police may proceed in the circuit court to have any such automobile, truck, motorcycle or other motor vehicle forfeited and sold as is now provided by law for the forfeiture and sale of property in any case now provided; provided, however, that the chief of police shall be substituted for the sheriff in such proceedings for the forfeiture and sale under the provisions of this Act.
