§ 1. Authority of City to Acquire Lands for Parks and Recreational Purposes; Lands Described.

Specific and express authority is hereby conferred upon the City of Orlando to acquire by purchase or by condemnation through eminent domain proceedings for public parks and recreational purposes the fee simple interest, or any lesser interest therein determined by the City Council of the City of Orlando to be appropriate, in and to the following described lands situated in Orange County, Florida, or any portion or portions thereof, as determined by the City Council of the City of Orlando:

From the S.E. corner of Section 1, Township 23 South, Range 28 East, run north 88°44′08″ west along the south line of Section One a distance of 100.00 feet to the west right-of-way line of Kirkman Road for a point of beginning, thence north 00°23′13″ west along the west right-of-way line of Kirkman Road a distance of 2002.34 feet, thence north 89°36′00″ west a distance of 560.77 feet, thence north 00°17′52″ west a distance of 664.60 feet, thence north 00°00′26″ west a distance of 661.55 feet to the N.E. corner of the S.W. 1/4 of the S.E. 1/4 of the N.E. 1/4 of said Section 1, thence north 89°54′11″ west a distance of 838.54 feet, thence south 00°18′20″ east a distance of 2123.74 feet, thence north 87°42′59″ west a distance of 1131.62 feet, thence south 00°03′31″ west a distance of 200.11 feet, thence south 89°56′01″ west a distance of 20.00 feet to a point on the center section line. The S.W. 1/4 of the S.E. 1/4 of Section 2, Township 23 South, Range 28 East, less: Beginning at the northeast corner of the S.W. 1/4 of the S.E. 1/4 run south 89°50′06″ west 495 feet, south 00°17′54″ east 440 feet, north 89°50′06″ east 495 feet, north 00°17′54″ west 440 feet to the point of beginning; and

The south 629.45 feet of the N.W. 1/4 of the S.E. 1/4 of Section 2, Township 23 South, Range 28 East (less that portion thereof lying east of the east shoreline of Turkey Lake); and

The N.W. 1/4 of the S.E. 1/4 (less that part east of lake and less the south 629.45 feet) and the N.E. 1/4 of the S.W. 1/4 lying east of the east right-of-way line of Hiawassee Road (less the south 629.45 feet also less that part lying south and west of the following described lines: Begin at a point S 00°15′41″ east distance of 441 feet and S 89°51′51″ west a distance of 360 feet from the N.E. corner of the S.W. 1/4 thence run S 00°15′41″ east a distance of 258.10 feet begin again at the point of beginning run S 89°51′51″ west a distance of 227.80 feet to the east right-of-way of Hiawassee Road); and

That part of the S 1/2 of the S.W. 1/4 of the N.E. 1/4 and the S.E. 1/4 of the N.W. 1/4 of Section 2, Township 23 S, Range 28 E, lying east of Hiawassee Road and also the west 22.50 feet of the S 1/2 of the S.E. 1/4 of the N.E. 1/4 of said Section 2.
