§ 2.05. Appointment of Officers.

  • (1)

    As provided by Section 3 of Chapter 2 of the Charter of the City of Orlando, the Mayor shall appoint the Chief Administrative Officer, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, and all office and department heads, subject to confirmation by the City Council. The Mayor shall appoint the members of his personal staff.

    (2)

    All other appointed officers of the City shall be appointed by the Mayor upon the recommendation of the respective office or department head.

    (3)

    Appointed officers serve at the convenience of the City and may be terminated by the Mayor at any time with or without cause. Any appointed officer terminated for cause may request review of such termination by the City Council.
