§ 2.12. City Attorney to Maintain Records and Files.

  • The City Attorney shall maintain separately, from all other business files in his possession, all files and records having any connection with City business. Such files and records shall include, but not be limited to, legal opinions, contracts, case files, and documents of any sort pertaining to City legal business. Upon termination of employment with the City for whatever reason, the City Attorney forthwith shall turn over such files and records to his successor. In any employment contract by and between the City and the City Attorney, there shall be included provisions for separate maintenance of files and records and for immediate relinquishment of such files and records upon termination of the employment as aforesaid in this section.
