§ 2.227. Applicability.
(1)
Calls Dispatched by the City to locations within the City. For all calls for emergency ground medical transport services dispatched by the City to locations within the City, the City and all private contractors operating by written agreement with the City to provide emergency ground medical transport and related services shall charge the recipients of such services the uniform rates, fees and charges for such services established by City Council in the manner provided in Section 2.228 below and no additional fees or charges for those services shall be charged. For purposes of this Article, the term emergency ground medical transport service shall mean ground medical transport service dispatched as a result of a call or other contact to the 9ll response system.
(2)
Responses by the City to locations outside of the City. Unless otherwise provided by City Council, the uniform rates, fees and charges applicable to emergency ground medical transport service calls dispatched by the City to locations within the City established in subsection (1) above shall also be applicable to any emergency ground medical transport services provided by the City when the City responds to a request for service to a location outside of the City, including but not limited to as a result of a request for assistance from another governmental entity.
