§ 31A.03. Permit Not to be Issued Without Specific Authorization Following Conviction for Certain Crimes.

The division shall not grant without specific authorization from city council a permit or a renewal of a permit to operate an establishment to any applicant if an interested party thereof has been convicted of a specified criminal act and such conviction is final and not on appeal within ten (10) years of the date of application. The term "conviction" shall include an adjudication of guilt on a plea of guilty or nolo contendere or the forfeiture of a bond upon a charge of a specified criminal act.
