§ 61.224. Bridges.
Latest version.
Bridges shall be designed in accordance with the design criteria of the ASSHTO Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges, latest edition. Bridges shall be constructed with curbs, the required paving width, and, in addition, sidewalks and bikeways the same as required elsewhere, except on dual bridges where sidewalks shall only be required on the outer side of each bridge span. Approach guardrail or fences shall be provided as required by the Public Works Director.
