§ 61.263. Sidewalks.
(A)
In General. The developer shall install sidewalks on both sides of each street prior to issuance of any Certificate of Occupancy for the abutting residence or commercial structure, unless the City Engineer approves a payment in lieu of construction in accordance with Section 61.225. All sidewalks shall be constructed in accordance with the City of Orlando, Engineering Standards Manual.
(B)
Pedestrian Ways. Pedestrian ways, when required, shall be provided with a paved walkway at least six (6) feet wide, and shall be landscaped on either side of the walkway to at least a Bufferyard "B" standard as set forth in Chapter 60, Part 2.
(C)
Where There Is No Abutting Structure. In situations where the lots abutting the street are designated for uses or activities that do not require a Certificate of Occupancy (such as utility or drainage rights-of-way, dedicated open space, etc.), the sidewalk shall be installed by the developer for that portion of the street frontage prior to the issuance of any Certificate of Completion for the street.
