Appendix 3B. LANDSCAPING FOR PARKING LOTS AND GARAGES |
§ 61.311. General Requirements.
The requirements of this Part shall apply to the construction of all new non-residential and multi-family vehicular use areas; the substantial improvement or enlargement to a building site, or the expansion or redesign of existing vehicular use areas; and whenever the use of any property is changed to a higher intensity class, according to Chapter 58, Figure 3, or a use that would require additional parking or loading in accordance with the requirements of this Chapter.
(a)
Landscaping required by this Part shall be installed prior to the issuance of any Certificate of Occupancy for construction or Local Business Tax Receipt for a change of use to a higher intensity class on the building site.
(b)
Perimeter landscaping shall be designed to accommodate cross-access easements, driveways and pedestrian connections.
(c)
The need for uniform levels of exterior nighttime lighting shall be considered in the design of landscaping required by this Part.

Dimensions of required landscape areas do not include curbing
