§ 65.539. New Street Names.

  • An application for street names for new public and private rights-of-way, and roads shall be submitted to the Planning Official for compliance with this Part during the Preliminary Subdivision review process and prior to the issuance of building permits for property located along the new road or right-of-way. The Planning Official shall review the name(s) with the City Engineer. In the event a proposed name is not in compliance with this Part, the Planning Official shall advise the applicant of the status of the application; the applicant shall revise the proposed street name(s) and resubmit them to the Planning Official for approval prior to City Council taking any action or the City's issuance of a certificate of occupancy for any improvement or property located along the new road or right-of-way.
