§ 65.812. Appeals to Historic Preservation Board.

  • Within five (5) days following receipt of notice that the Historic Preservation Officer has denied a Part 1: Preconstruction Application or a Part 2: Final Application, the applicant may file an appeal from the determination to the Historic Preservation Board. The appeal shall be filed on a form prepared by the Historic Preservation Officer. Included with the form shall be a copy of any recommendations made by the Historic Preservation Officer.

    The Historic Preservation Board shall review the qualifying improvement project in substantially the same manner as in a Major Review of a Certificate of Appropriateness as specified in Section 65.471. A public hearing shall be held and notice provided the applicant. The Standards for Review contained in Section 65.815 shall be the criteria applied by the Historic Preservation Board in hearing the appeal.
