§ 60.2. Same—Same—Definition of Term "Seniority."

  • The term "seniority" as the same relates to employees of the police and fire departments of the City of Orlando, Florida, over whom the Civil Service Board has jurisdiction, shall be construed to mean and be determined by the length of continuous uninterrupted service in rank, rate or grade, and where the length of continuous, uninterrupted service in rank, rate or grade is the same for two (2) or more employees, then seniority shall be construed to mean and be determined by the length of continuous, uninterrupted time in service, and where the length of continuous, interrupted time in service is the same for any two (2) or more of such employees, then, in that event, the employee who obtained the highest score on the examination for appointment to the rank then held shall have seniority.
