§ 65.604. Site Inspection of Construction, Repair or Alteration on Privately Owned Property.

All persons desiring to make site improvements to nonresidential private property
by the construction, reconstruction, repair, alteration or grading of any improved
or unimproved property shall first obtain an Engineering Permit from the City Engineer.
For the purposes of this Section, site improvements shall be defined as grading, filling,
or excavation of unimproved property; additions or alterations to existing buildings
or other structures requiring alterations to the ground; and the construction of new
buildings or other structures, including parking lots. All reviews shall insure the
compliance with the City of Orlando Engineering Standards Manual as adopted by the
City Council from time to time by separate resolution. The City Engineer shall review
all site improvement plans to insure compliance with all provisions of the City Code
and all other City, County, State and Federal laws and regulations in force and effect.
Such reviews shall include, but not be limited to, drainage facilities, sanitary sewer
systems, and other design standards as established by the City Engineer.
Fee Required.
The fee paid for such permit shall be established by City Council Resolution.
