§ 12. Definition of Abandoned Vehicles.

  • Any automobile, truck, motorcycle or other motor vehicle may be, for the purpose of this Act, considered abandoned when same has remained continuously parked in the same place in the business Section of said municipality for a period of forty-eight (48) hours on any public street, alley, public park or parkway, without receiving the attention of the owner, his agent or servant; and any automobile, truck, motorcycle, or other motor vehicle may be, for the purpose of this Act, considered abandoned when same has remained continuously parked in the same place in the residential section of said municipality for a period of seventy-two (72) hours on any public street, alley, public park or parkway, without receiving the attention of the owner, his agent or servant.
