§ 10. Deposit of Municipal Public Funds with State Road Department.

  • It is recognized that the construction or improvement of state roads within the corporate limits of the City of Orlando is for a proper public purpose and shall justify the expenditure of municipal public funds and to that end the City of Orlando is hereby authorized to expend municipal public funds to defray the cost or any part of the cost of the construction and improvement of such roads and including acquisition of rights-of-way within the corporate limits of said City. To accomplish this purpose, the City of Orlando is authorized to deposit with the state road department of the State of Florida municipal public funds to be used by said state road department for construction or improving roads, highways and highway structures and acquisition of rights-of-way within said City or to be used by said state road department to match other funds which may be made available by the State of Florida or the government of the United States or the County of Orange for the purpose of aiding in the construction or improvement of such roads, highways and highway structures.
